Written after a day trip to Ocean Park, Hong Kong
There you are,
Attired in a smooth black swim suit
Your boneless neck swerving
to kiss the rod in the right place.
A whistle,
A satin,
Rewarding the twisting and turning
Of your bendy body and flappy fins.
Children laughing and cheering and yapping
at your candid dancing moves.
You seemed happy – fulfilled.
Protected and preserved too, they say.
Positively reinforced, like the audience,
you are now freed into the park of
encircled clarity.
